About ALBEMARLE CORP

Albemarle Corporation manufactures specialty chemicals and energy storage materials for industrial and consumer applications. The company's primary focus is lithium compounds—including lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide, and lithium chloride—which are essential inputs for lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles, consumer electronics, grid storage systems, and renewable energy applications. Beyond lithium, Albemarle produces bromine-based specialty chemicals, high-performance greases, catalyst solutions, and zirconium and titanium products for pyrotechnical applications.

The company operates three main segments: Energy Storage, which generates revenue from lithium compounds and related materials; Specialties, which encompasses bromine chemicals, lithium solutions for non-battery applications, cesium products, and pharmaceutical intermediates; and Ketjen, which supplies catalysts for refining and petrochemical processes, including hydroprocessing and fluidized catalytic cracking catalysts. The company serves end markets including automotive, aerospace, conventional energy, electronics, construction, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.

Albemarle employs approximately 7,800 full-time workers and operates on a global basis. Founded in 1887 and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, the company is incorporated in Virginia and listed on the NYSE with a market capitalization of $21.1 billion.
