Founded in 1867, Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises provides energy and emissions control solutions to industrial, utility, municipal, and other customers across North America and select international markets. The company designs and manufactures systems for power generation, waste management, and emissions reduction, serving sectors including utilities, waste-to-energy facilities, biomass operations, pulp and paper production, oil and gas, petrochemicals, and food processing.

The company operates three primary segments. Babcock & Wilcox Renewable develops waste-to-energy and biomass-to-energy technologies, including the BrightLoop hydrogen generation system and OxyBright oxygen-fired biomass technology, along with black liquor systems for the pulp and paper industry. Babcock & Wilcox Environmental provides emissions control systems addressing particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, mercury, and carbon removal across utility and industrial applications. Babcock & Wilcox Thermal offers aftermarket parts, maintenance, field services, and engineered upgrades for power generation and industrial equipment, as well as steam generation systems including package boilers and waste heat recovery units.

The company employs approximately 1,900 full-time workers and is headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Its geographic footprint extends across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
