The company operates three business segments. Babcock & Wilcox Renewable develops waste-to-energy and biomass-to-energy conversion systems, including the BrightLoop hydrogen generation platform and oxygen-fired combustion technology. Babcock & Wilcox Environmental provides air pollution control systems, ash handling equipment, and emissions mitigation solutions for utility, industrial steam, and waste processing applications. Babcock & Wilcox Thermal delivers aftermarket services, maintenance, engineered upgrades, and replacement parts for its installed customer base and equipment from other manufacturers, alongside steam generation systems including package boilers and waste heat recovery units.

The company employs approximately 1,900 full-time workers and serves customers globally, with particular focus on the North American and UK markets. Its customer base spans both established industrial facilities requiring maintenance and upgrades and new construction projects requiring specialized boiler and emissions control systems.
