Beyond hardware, the company offers software platforms such as DN Vynamic for banking connectivity and analytics, and DN Vynamic Retail Platform for industry-specific retail applications covering fuel, convenience, specialty, fashion, and grocery segments.

The company operates through two primary segments: Banking and Retail. The Banking segment generates revenue from branch automation solutions, cash recycling technology, multi-vendor service capabilities, and professional services including systems integration and consulting. The Retail segment derives revenue from modular and integrated EPOS systems, self-checkout solutions, peripherals such as printers and scales, software platforms, and managed services. Both segments also offer maintenance, support, and advisory services.

The company was incorporated in Delaware and is headquartered in North Canton, Ohio. Founded in 1859, it assumed its current name in December 2016 following a merger with Nixdorf.
