About EnerSys

EnerSys manufactures and distributes stored energy solutions for industrial applications across four primary segments. The Energy Systems segment supplies uninterruptible power systems for data centers, telecommunications, and computer-controlled facilities, along with switchgear, electrical control systems, and large-scale energy storage infrastructure for utilities and industrial operators. The Motive Power segment produces batteries and power systems for electric forklifts, automated guided vehicles, floor care equipment, and specialized applications in mining, rail, and airport ground support. The Specialty segment serves aerospace and defense markets with power solutions for aircraft, satellites, submarines, and tactical vehicles, while also supplying batteries for medical devices and portable field power systems.

The New Ventures segment develops energy storage and management systems for demand charge reduction, backup power, and electric vehicle fast-charging applications. The company also manufactures battery chargers, power equipment, and battery accessories with associated after-market support services. EnerSys operates globally through a distribution network comprising independent representatives, established distributors, and direct sales forces.

The company employs approximately 10,858 full-time workers and maintains headquarters in Reading, Pennsylvania. With a market capitalization of $6.1 billion, EnerSys serves industrial, telecommunications, defense, aerospace, and utility sectors across North America, Europe, and international markets. The company was incorporated in Delaware and changed its name from Yuasa, Inc. to EnerSys in 2001.
