About Ingersoll Rand Inc.

Founded in 1859 and headquartered in Davidson, North Carolina, Ingersoll Rand designs and manufactures industrial compression, fluid handling, and precision dosing equipment sold globally. The company operates through two primary segments that address distinct market applications and customer bases.

The Industrial Technologies and Services segment manufactures air and gas compression equipment, vacuum and blower systems, fluid transfer machinery, and power tools and lifting equipment under brands including Ingersoll Rand, Gardner Denver, Nash, and CompAir. This segment also provides aftermarket parts, consumables, and service support. The Precision and Science Technologies segment produces specialized pumps—including diaphragm, piston, and syringe variants—along with gas boosters, hydrogen compression systems, and liquid handling equipment used in medical, laboratory, industrial manufacturing, water treatment, chemical processing, and food and beverage applications. This segment operates under brands such as Milton Roy, Haskel, Welch, and Thomas.

The company employs approximately 21,000 people and distributes products through a combination of direct sales representatives and independent distributors across North America, Europe, and other regions. Ingersoll Rand changed its name from Gardner Denver Holdings in March 2020 as part of a merger that consolidated the two operating segments under a unified corporate structure.
