The company operates through three business segments: Semiconductor Process Control, which encompasses wafer inspection and metrology systems; Specialty Semiconductor Process, which provides etch, plasma dicing, deposition, and chemical process control technologies; and PCB and Component Inspection, which serves the printed circuit board and semiconductor packaging markets with inspection and metrology solutions. KLA also supplies sensor wafers, reticles, and direct imaging and additive printing technologies for advanced manufacturing applications.

With approximately 15,000 full-time employees, KLA operates globally and serves customers across advanced and traditional semiconductor manufacturing. The company was incorporated in Delaware in 1975 and is headquartered in Milpitas, California.
