The company produces innersprings, specialty foam chemicals, semi-finished and private-label mattresses, adjustable beds, and foundational support systems for bedding manufacturers and retailers. It also supplies machinery used in mattress production, including innerspring machines and quilting equipment. Beyond bedding, the company operates across multiple industrial verticals, manufacturing mechanical and pneumatic systems for automotive seating, tubing and fluid conveyance components for automotive and aerospace applications, and hydraulic cylinders for OEM suppliers.

The company's product portfolio extends to furniture components including springs, seat suspensions, bases, frames, and hardware for office and upholstered furniture. It produces carpet cushion, flooring underlayment, and structural fabrics used in construction and flooring applications. Additional revenue streams include specialty packaging materials and automotive upholstery components.

Leggett & Platt operates manufacturing facilities across the United States, Europe, China, Canada, and Mexico, serving a diverse customer base that includes bedding brands, mattress retailers, e-commerce platforms, big-box retailers, furniture manufacturers, and automotive OEMs. The company was founded in 1883 and maintains headquarters in Carthage, Missouri.
