The Photonics Solutions Division (PSD) offers lasers, optical components, motion control systems, and laser-based manufacturing equipment. The Material Solutions Division (MSD) develops advanced surface modification, plating, and finishing technologies for chemical and equipment applications.
MKS maintains a global footprint with manufacturing, sales, and distribution operations across the United States, China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, and other international markets. The company markets its products through direct sales teams, independent distributors, and sales representatives. MKS was incorporated in Massachusetts in 1961 and is headquartered in Andover, Massachusetts. The company changed its legal name from MKS Instruments, Inc. to MKS Inc. in May 2025.
