The company's operations are organized into two primary segments. The Energy Equipment segment provides drilling rigs for land and offshore applications, rig components, hydraulic stimulation and coiled tubing equipment, marine and construction solutions, and processing equipment for separating and treating oil, gas, water, and solids. It also manufactures cavity pumps, mixers, heat exchangers, and reciprocating and progressive cavity pumps used in midstream operations, along with artificial lift support systems.
The Energy Products and Services segment offers drill bits, downhole tools, and frac plugs for well completion; electric submersible pumps and surface pumps for production; tubular coating and inspection services; solids control and waste management equipment; drill pipe and drill-stem components; connectors and casing solutions; and flexible subsea pipe systems. The segment also provides data and digital solutions supporting drilling and production operations. NOV was founded in 1862 and previously operated under the name National Oilwell Varco, Inc. until changing to NOV Inc. in January 2021.
