Beyond new vehicle sales, the company generates revenue through the retail of used commercial vehicles, aftermarket parts distribution, and service and repair operations.

The company's service offerings extend across financing, leasing, and rental arrangements for commercial vehicles. Rush Enterprises also provides property and casualty insurance products, including collision and liability coverage, cargo insurance, and credit life insurance tailored to commercial vehicle operators. Additional service lines include equipment installation and repair, paint and body repair, vehicle pre-delivery inspection, truck modification, natural gas fuel system installation, chassis upfitting, and vehicle telematics products. The company sells new and used trailers and commercial vehicle tires.

Rush Enterprises serves regional and national fleets, local and state government entities, corporations, and owner-operators. The company employs approximately 7,858 full-time employees across its operations.
