SunCoke Energy is an independent producer of coke and provider of industrial material handling and processing services. The company manufactures blast furnace and foundry coke products, which are essential inputs for steel production. Beyond coke production, SunCoke operates a broad array of ancillary services including material handling and mixing, scrap processing and metal recovery, slag handling and marketing, logistics management, and on-site melt shop support for steel manufacturers.

The company operates through two primary segments: Domestic Coke and Industrial Services. The Domestic Coke segment focuses on coke production and related co-product handling. The Industrial Services segment encompasses material handling, scrap management, logistics, metal recovery, and various processing services for steel producers, coke facilities, and other industrial customers. These services include warehouse management, transportation, scrap yard operations, slag granulation, and ancillary environmental services.

SunCoke operates cokemaking facilities and logistics terminals across the United States with an international presence. The company employs approximately 2,477 full-time employees and serves customers in the steel, coal, power utility, and bulk manufacturing sectors. Founded in 1960 and headquartered in Lisle, Illinois, SunCoke is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
