About First American Financial Corp

Founded in 1889, First American Financial Corporation provides insurance and financial services through two primary segments. The Title Insurance and Services segment, its core business, issues title insurance policies on residential and commercial properties and operates an extensive network of direct offices and agents across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, and other international markets. Beyond title underwriting, this segment offers ancillary services including closing and escrow operations, appraisals and valuation services, lien release and document custodial services, document generation, warehouse lending, mortgage loan subservicing, and banking and wealth management services. The segment also maintains and provides access to title plant data and records used in real estate transactions. The Home Warranty segment provides residential service contracts covering heating, air conditioning systems, and certain appliances in various states and the District of Columbia.

The company operates with approximately 19,102 full-time employees and maintains headquarters in Santa Ana, California. First American's service offerings span the residential and commercial real estate transaction lifecycle, positioning it as a provider of title and transaction-related financial services across multiple geographies. The company is incorporated in Delaware and publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
