The Johnston & Murphy Group focuses on men's footwear, apparel, and accessories through retail stores, e-commerce, and wholesale distribution channels. The Genesco Brands Group markets footwear under licensed brands including Levi's, Dockers, and G.H. Bass.

Genesco maintains approximately 5,400 full-time employees and operates retail locations in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Republic of Ireland. The company maintains e-commerce operations across multiple branded websites serving its respective geographic markets and customer segments. Genesco was incorporated in 1934 and maintains headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee.
