The Component Products segment produces mechanical and electrical locking mechanisms for mailboxes, file cabinets, ignition systems, and secured storage applications, as well as stainless steel exhaust components and marine hardware including trim tabs and wake enhancement systems for performance boats. The Real Estate Management and Development segment owns and develops commercial, industrial, and residential properties, while also providing utility services to industrial customers and maintaining a portfolio of marketable securities and other investments.
With approximately 3,050 full-time employees, Valhi operates across North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. The company was incorporated in Delaware in 1932 and is a subsidiary of Dixie Rice Agricultural L.L.C.
