Valero Energy Corporation is an independent petroleum refiner and marketer of transportation fuels and petrochemical products. The company manufactures gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, heating oil, and asphalt at its refining facilities, along with intermediate feedstocks and other petroleum derivatives. It also produces and markets renewable diesel, renewable naphtha, and sustainable aviation fuel through its low-carbon fuels division. Valero distributes refined products through wholesale rack and bulk markets under multiple brand names including Valero, Texaco, Diamond Shamrock, and Ultramar.

The company operates three primary segments: Refining, Renewable Diesel, and Ethanol. The Refining segment produces conventional and specialty gasoline blendstocks, CARB diesel, and other petroleum products for domestic and export markets. The Renewable Diesel segment operates production facilities and markets low-carbon fuels under the Diamond Green Diesel brand. The Ethanol segment manufactures ethanol and co-products such as dry distiller grains and corn oil for animal feed applications.

Valero operates refineries and production facilities across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Latin America. The company was incorporated in Delaware and is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where it was founded in 1980 under its former name, Valero Refining and Marketing Company.
