Mosaic Company manufactures and distributes concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients through a vertically integrated production and distribution network. The company produces diammonium phosphate, monoammonium phosphate, and specialty ammoniated phosphate products, along with phosphate-based animal feed ingredients marketed under the Biofos and Nexfos brands. In potash, it manufactures potassium chloride for crop nutrition and industrial applications, as well as K-Mag, a double sulfate of potash magnesia product. The company also supplies blended crop nutrients, superphosphates, dicalcium phosphate, and biological fertilizer complements.

The business operates across three segments: Phosphates, Potash, and Mosaic Fertilizantes. Beyond production, the company engages in purchasing and reselling phosphate, potash, and nitrogen products. Its distribution infrastructure includes chemical plants, crop nutrient blending and bagging facilities, port terminals, and warehouses. The company sells to distributors, retail chains, agricultural cooperatives, independent retailers, industrial accounts, animal feed manufacturers, and farmers through a direct sales force.

Mosaic operates 13,000 full-time employees across production and distribution facilities spanning the United States, Brazil, Canada, Paraguay, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, China, Japan, India, Peru, Australia, and other markets. The company maintains a significant export presence and serves global agricultural and industrial customers.
